Checker Julian – The Tokyo Check
The Checker in Tokyo! It is a city Julian has always wanted to visit. On their way there, he and his team even filmed their "Airplane Check" episode. Now, the Checker is looking forward to exploring this vibrant, colorful megacity with its population of around 38 million. Finding one's way around here is no easy feat; after all, Julian doesn't understand a single word of Japanese and cannot decipher the complex characters on the street signs and colorful neon displays. Fortunately, he receives assistance from Eri and Caterina, who show him around the city and introduce him to the unique aspects of Japanese culture.
These cultural nuances begin right with the greeting—in Japan, people don't shake hands; instead, they bow to one another. Above all, however, the Checker wants to fulfill a lifelong dream: meeting a real-life ninja. He hopes to receive training from one in the ancient art of stealth and espionage known as Ninjutsu. After all, these legendary "shadow warriors" hail from Japan, and surely—in a metropolis as massive as Tokyo—he must be able to find one. And who knows? Perhaps Eri or Caterina might even know a ninja themselves! Let's keep our fingers crossed for Julian!
